Our dad was such a kind and gentle man who would do anything for anyone and he often did which at times could of been his downfall. He was a great dad and always put our family first. We were blessed to be part of his family and for the fact that he made a conscious decision to be a part of ours. We are eternally thankful that he chose to be our Dad and we do know how lucky we are.
His death was so sudden and unexpected yet so peaceful and for that we will be eternally grateful.
You are our dad, always have been, always will be.
We will love you forever Dad xxxxxxxxxxx
What is Dying?
A ship sails and I stand watching till he fades on the horizon and someone at my side says 'he is gone'.
Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all. He is just as large now as when I last saw him. His diminished size and total loss from my sight is in me, not in him.
And just at the moment when someone at my side says he is gone there are others who are watching him coming over their horizon and other voices take up a glad shout 'There he comes!'
That is what dying is. An horizon and just the limit of our sight.
Lift us up, Oh Lord, that we may see further

If lilly's grow in heaven, lord pick a bunch for me. Place them in my fathers arms and tell him they're from me. Tell him that I love and miss him. When he turns to smile, place a kiss upon his cheek & hold him for a while, because remembering him is easy, I do it every day. I still have occasions like the other day when someone will walk towards me or drive past and for the briefest of moment my head shouts 'DAD'!! I know it can't be so but it never stops me hoping. I guess the reason is because you are always with me every second of every day and always will be.
